My Favourite TV Shows | The Crazy Daizies

Today I'll be listing my top 8 TV seasons. As well as just listing them I have described my favourite parts of these individual program's. I've kept it short and sweet because I'm sure your popular enough to need to be somewhere soon. Please read on..........

HOUSE OF CARDS-  What can I say about this gripping drama. I enjoyed every minute watching a revengeful congressman (Kevin Spacey) trying to destroy the people who betrayed him.

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK- This fabulous comedy drama took me in at episode one. When Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) is convicted of carrying money for her drug dealing girlfriend, how will she adapt to the next 15 months of her life in prison?

24- Is one of my all time favourites. The way that Keifer Sutherland plays ruthless Jack Bauer and stars in all 193 episodes without losing the audiences attention at all. It's pure genius how one episode equates to one day of Jack Bauer's eventful life.

LOUIS THEROUX-  Unlike all the other shows listed this is a documentary program what follows Louis Theroux on several different journeys into abnormal cultures and life styles, with elements of humour and serious fortunate/unfortunate life's that people lead.

GOTHAM-  Even though this program has only just commenced I can already tell I'm going to enjoy ever single episode because of it's amazing script and it's interesting characters. I always wondered what Gotham was like before Batman and now I'm beginning to understand why Batman was needed so much.

FARGO-  I loved everything about this thrilling tv show, especially the actors way of portraying a psychopathic serial killer (played by Billy Bob Thornton) and a sneaky, unpredictable lost man (Martin Freeman).

BREAKING BAD-  Everyone likes a crime drama about crystal meth (the blue kind).
Bryan Cranston plays a loveable teacher with cancer who resorts to making meth to support his families future when he's gone, he does this with one of his old students who teaches him some of the ropes on how to get into this challenging business.

SHERLOCK- Who doesn't love Benedict and Martin's bro-mance? With cute humour and a smart plot, you can't get much better.  I'm hoping for the next season to come out soon!

Thanks for reading my post, have fun with the rest of your life:)

Top Ten Tuesday #1 | The Crazy Daizies

| 14.10.2014 |

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blogging meme created by the bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish. A different theme based around books, reading and blogging is chosen every week and then a list of ten is chosen. This week's theme is:

Ten Places Books Have Made Me Want To Visit (Real and/or Fictional)

1. Paris: I've already been to France and it was amazing but as soon as I read Anna and the French Kiss I instantly wanted to go again. Stephanie Perkins makes the city of love seem even more romantic by describing Paris as if it's a character.

2. Alabama: I'm in the middle of reading Harper Lee's amazing novel To Kill a Mockingbird (I'll probably upload a review of what I thought of it later this week) and I would love to go and visit Maycomb County although it is fictional. I just love the idea of walking past Boo Radley's House or searching through the nook in the tree like Jem and Scout did, looking at the charred remains of Miss Maudie's house or visiting the church Calpurnia took the children to. I'd also love to see how different it was to where I live.

3. Idris: Another fictional island...or is it? When I started reading The Mortal Instruments Series the idea of it all - the shadowhunters, their various runes, steles, everything - enticed me. And when I read about a magical island, hidden from Mundane view, it sounded so mysterious and exotic.

4. Hollow Pike: James Dawson successfully wrote the nail biting story Hollow Pike as well as creating an eerie town with a dangerous forest where everything that goes bump in the night lives. The idea of standing among the frosty trees, silhouetted in the darkness with branches that scratched and clawed at the innocent...or the not so innocent makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand straight.

5. The Hubermann's Basement: Can you imagine what it would be like sitting in the freezing cellar next to Max, swapping stories and throwing snow about? Markus Zusak, author of The Book Thief, wrote so beautifully and made me want to do almost anything just for a few minutes sitting with Max in that tiny, dank cellar.

6. Hogwarts/Hogsmede: Honestly, I don't know one lover of books who wouldn't want to go to this infamous castle from J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter Series. I'd love to visit the Whomping Willow and climb up the moving stairs in the castle. A life long dream come true!

7. Middle Earth: J.R.R. Tolkien - the king of fantasy - created an amazing world for both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and I would seriously do anything to say "I've been to the Black Land of Mordor, and seen Mount Doom". Rivendell would be amazing to see as well, and the glorious cavern of treasures where Smaug rests.

8. Atlanta: I've also started reading The Walking Dead graphic novels (at first it was to feed my addiction between the break in the television show) but I've become really interested in them. I've always wanted to visit apocalyptic Atlanta since I started watching the show last year, but the way the city is illustrated in the book, filled with rotting corpses, makes me want to go even more!

9. Westeros: As soon as I stepped foot in the fictional land in A Song of Ice and Fire Series I'd probably be dead (knowing every single characters luck, thanks George R.R. Martin) but it just seems so beautiful and cultured. Martin has made it seem so three dimensional, with the various religions, languages, traditions.

10. A Road Trip: I didn't care where, I just wanted to go on a road trip as soon as I had finished Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson. I've never been on one before and it just seemed so much fun, to go to so many places, to travel, to see the world.

I hope you enjoyed this little post, I'm a huge Book Worm so there will definitely be more of these coming your way. Keep checking back for more blogs and uploads.

What places have books made you want to visit?

September Favourites | The Crazy Daizies

Hello everyone!
Sorry about the lack of posts on the blog, but don't worry, we're back, with some brilliantly creative things in store for you!
But today you're stuck with a basic favourites blog...

Last month I bought my very own Tanya Burr lip gloss which I've been loving so much! It's in the shade Shine, Dream, Sparkle and is a beautiful pinky colour with a slight sparkle.
Compared to most lip glosses on the high street, I wouldn't say this is sticky. The consistency is just perfect, and glides on like silk.
Also, I'm in love with the applicator which thins out at the tip making it easier to apply the gloss the way I want.

I have also been loving my No 7 Stay Perfect lipstick in the colour Classic Rose which I've been wearing throughout most of September.
To me, the matte lipstick has a very classy vintage feel to it, and is just the right shade. It's a very feminine deep rose pink colours (which matches almost perfectly with my Tanya Burr lip gloss) but isn't too overpowering or bold to make it seem unnatural.

I have also gained a renewed love for my Colour Supplement last month which I bought when it was on sale last Christmas in Lush.
The idea is to mix it with your favourite moisturiser to create a subtle and thin foundation (or tinted moisturiser) that is good if you struggle with dry skin or only like to wear a little or very fine makeup.
Also, I seem to find it hard when looking for a foundation that matches my skin perfectly since it is either too dark or too pale but this is just right.

Finally the last product of September that I've fallen in love with is my Sunsilk Deep Brunette shampoo which focuses on keeping your hair a healthy shade of brown, and highlighting all the different colours of your hair.
I am not a natural brunette therefore instead of having to dye my hair every month, I use this shampoo to maintain the colour and keep it looking glossy and in good condition.
I haven't dyed my hair since late August and people always seem to comment if I've redyed it again because it looks so good!
It also has a unique scent which makes my hair smell great.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this blog post, and I hope you enjoyed it or it helped you in some way. Make sure you keep checking back at this blog to check for new posts or follow us on Google+ as every follow means the world to us, and we appreciate every single follow we get.

So, what have you been loving this September?

Sharing our Insanity with the World

Hello everyone, and welcome to The Crazy Daizies Blog.

Instead of doing a normal introduction post, we've decided to embrace our inner eccentricity and share some quirky, and unusual facts with you, as well as telling you about this wonderful website.
First, let us begin with this little corner of the internet. It is a collaboration blog run by the three of us, all girls, all slightly obsessed with Breaking Bad.
Expect to see lots of crazy posts, varying in topics, straight from our beautiful, and slightly insane minds. However, we all have our own specific area of expertise...
Bella's natural habitat is in front of the television, therefore it only makes sense for her to discuss her love for the movies, reviewing television shows and other such things.
Then there is Poppy who has a passion for all things beauty related, whether it be makeup, clothes, or nails. She will most likely post reviews on recent beauty products, her monthly favourites, and whatever else she feels like.
Finally, we have Emma, who doesn't actually have a specific subject because she qualifies for everything. She is a Divergent. Actually, she is a fangirl and will probably be posting nerdy entries, in between scrolling through the deep dark depths of Tumblr.
Now, it is time for you to find out about us, and all our little quirks that we've decided to share with the world.

Blogger Number #1: Zoey

     1. The television is basically my life! Ask me anything about a movie and I'll probably know the answer. Or I might Google it because my iPad is also  my life.

     2. I am unusually tall for a girl.

     3. I have a strange need to learn songs. Completely random ones, like the rap that features in We're the Millers, and We Didn't Start The Fire. I'm currently learning the song naming all the elements in the periodic table. Because I'm normal.

Blogger Number #2: Poppy

     1. My feet are abnormally large for my height.

     2. I am completely obsessed with Owls, to the point where everything I own has an Owl on it. The only thing I don't have is an Owl itself...not yet, anyway.

     3. I love to watch YouTubers, they have inspired me to begin writing for blogs. Some of my favourites included Zoella and Sprinkle of Glitter.

Blogger Number #3: Clara

     1. I drink cups of tea religiously. I can't wake up properly without a brew.

     2. Doors are my OCD. If a door isn't closed or hasn't been closed properly then it will drive me nuts until I go and shut it myself.

     3. Orange's are my kryptonite. I hate the colour, the smell, the texture, the way they look. Oranges should not exist, we must kill them with fire!

Hopefully you found this crazy little introduction post interesting, if so, please follow us on Google+ to show us your appreciation. Leave us some comments below, and tell us some insane facts about you. We'd love to read them!

Thanks for stopping by, love The Crazy Daizies xox
